Self Care is about self-managed control of your own health, embedded into long-term everyday life.  

 

It centres around the actions that individuals take for themselves, to develop, protect, maintain and improve their own health, wellbeing or wellness, and embodies improved approaches to:

 

·Exercise

·Nutrition

·Management of common conditions (like headaches, colds and flu)

·Living with a long-term health problem, such as asthma or diabetes.
